Confinements, Romerías and migas in the
street
The most significant festividades of Castril are their Supervisory
celebrations, their “Bulls”. They are celebrated during the second week of
October and are very famous in all the region, consists of confinements and
some loose of heifers in which spontaneous they jump to the enclosure for
bullfighting to face them. Sometimes some fallen mishap arises or that creates
moments of surprise and agitation between the public. The Hernandez de Zafra
are celebrated in the seat, in center of the town, that becomes for the
occasion a rotation with a wood fence that serves as well as launching slips
and protection for the assistants and the groups of participants. Their

Other important festividades are the Romería of the Virgin of

The Celebration of the Migas and the Traps, are
celebrated in August. Its origin comes from one old custom by which the “traps”,
that is to say, the debts, tenian that to be paid for the 15 of August. At the
moment the neighbors take advantage of to meet and to eat migas.
